MNN | Artist-in-Residence 2026

The Residency’s focuses on creative practice and development centered at MNN facilities. From June through November, Artists will present one workshop, event, or engagement each month at MNN. In addition, they will submit a monthly creative plan outlining progress, goals, and upcoming activities during scheduled monthly consultations over the same period.

MNN launches its second Artist Residency, a program designed for four artists, combining our production, facilitation, and distribution capabilities with the artistic and educational leadership centered at our 38th Street Studios. This initiative creates a unique multi-platform programming series to elevate Independent Voices, Culture and Art.

Key Activities

Artist in Residency Workshop Series

The Workshop Series will be led and presented in collaboration with our selected artists in residence, highlighting the multidisciplinary nature of creative storytelling.  Drawing on all areas of visual media, music, movement and design, we will open our studios to community producers and members to develop and practice experientially in each curated series event.

About the Residency - June 2026 - November 2026

The Artist in Residency program supports NYC based artists by providing access to MNN Facilities and resources with the following scope of engagement:

  • Creative practice and development centered at MNN Facilities
  • Present 1 monthly workshop/event/engagement at MNN (July - November)
  • Submit monthly creative plan at monthly consultation  (July - November)

  • Tech
  • XR/VR
  • Film and TV
  • Authentic Hip Hop Culture

Eligibility

  • Ages 18 and over
  • All creative education and training backgrounds welcome
  • Availability to work remotely and on-site 

Program Resources

  • $5,000 project award (paid in 3 installments)
  • Dedicated screening room/production/editing studio access  for practice development
  • Mentorship + Peer networking sessions across MNN Creative Community
  • Dedicated Group + Solo Event at MNN
