StreetWise Bridge Program | Skills for Work, Confidence for Life

StreetWise Partners drives career mobility for adults from under-served communities by pairing them with corporate mentors who help strengthen professional fluency, build confidence, and expand networks. Through our comprehensive mentoring, career coaching, and job placement program, job seekers gain the skills, social capital, and self-trust needed to achieve financial stability through meaningful employment.

Program Overview

StreetWise Bridge is our flagship mentoring program that empowers adults with professional skills, confidence, and social capital to launch lasting careers. The 13-week experience blends facilitated group sessions with weekly one-on-one mentor support, helping job seekers:

  • Develop resumes and compelling LinkedIn profiles
  • Strengthen interviewing skills, including AI and video-based practice
  • Build social capital through exposure to professionals and industries
  • Gain clarity around career pathways and next steps
  • Strengthen confidence and workplace communication

Commitment:
Participants meet weekly for 2-hour facilitated sessions and connect with their mentors regularly for individualized support.

Mentor Role:
Corporate volunteers attend six sessions over the 13-week cycle and meet one-on-one with their mentee weekly by phone or Zoom to offer feedback, guidance, and professional insight.

Focus Areas:
Resume development, LinkedIn optimization, mock interviews, networking, career clarity, confidence-building, and real-time job search strategy.

Schedule of Program Cycles

  • Winter: January-April
  • Spring: April-June
  • Fall: September-December
    Applications for both mentees and mentors are accepted on a rolling basis.

Mentee Eligibility

Adult job seekers (18-65) who:

  • Are actively pursuing employment or an internship in finance, technology, advertising/marketing, or human resources
  • Have earned or are close to earning a bachelor’s degree, or have completed a hard-skills training program
  • Are proficient in English
  • Are legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Are motivated to engage weekly and complete program activities
  • Can commit to meeting with a mentor and attending group workshops
  • Would benefit from structured support, networking opportunities, and personalized guidance

Mentor Eligibility

Corporate and community volunteers who:

  • Have at least two years of professional experience
  • Can support a job seeker through consistent weekly check-ins during the 13-week cycle
  • Are able to attend six program sessions and offer constructive, strengths-based feedback
  • Are committed to encouraging a job seeker’s growth by sharing professional insight
