Clip of the Week: “Work with Me”

Sex trafficking impacts an estimated 30 million victims worldwide, and generates approximately $32 billion annually. “Work with Me” discusses what it is, why it matters, and what’s being done in New York to raise awareness of this human rights violation.

Guest host Jessica Minhas, founder and CEO of I’ll Go First, a survivor empowerment and advocacy agency, moderates the discussion among panelists:

Dorchen Leidholdt, Director, Center for Battered Women’s Legal Services/Sanctuary for Women

- Iryana, human trafficking survivor

Lynn Savarese, lawyer and photographer, New York’s New Abolitionist photo campaign

A critical human rights issue both here and abroad, Savarese’s anti-trafficking campaign has garnered support from activists, politicians, artists, celebrities, and concerned citizens from disparate backgrounds, including Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, Christie Brinkley, Vanessa Williams, Diane von Furstenberg, Lynn Nottage, Jonathon Waxman, Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles Schumer.
