City of Rising Waters: New York City and Floods

Five years ago, Hurricane Sandy hit NYC and brought disruption, destruction, displacement and death. But how much closer are we to protecting ourselves against climate change? Tune in as Museum of the City of New York hosts “City of Rising Waters,” a symposium on survival as a coastal city. Featured speakers include artists and grassroots organizers from WE ACT for Environmental Justice, Swale, Uprose, and Climate Nexus, in addition to conversations with authors, journalists, doctors and scientists.
