Race, gender, identity, and self expression are known to put limitations on things from career opportunities to equal pay. One of the more major movements happened in the public eye: Time’s Up. The Time’s Up movement was founded on January 1, 2018 in hopes to raise awareness on sexual assault, harrassment and inequality in the workplace. This movement was sparked from sexual harassment allegations against Hollywood mogul, Harvey Weinstein. The Women’s Media Center reported that the media gender gap still exists in 2019. Men have dominated every branch of media by over 50 percent. The percent difference increases even more when you add a factor of race into the equation.
