Juan González

Democracy Now! co-host, celebrated Latino journalist and author Juan González recently spoke at the Columbia School of Journalism in the first of three “farewell” speeches in New York before he moves to Chicago after 40+ years in New York.

In this three-part series, González talks about his time with the Young Lords as well as their impact on Puerto Rico today. He also discusses corporate America’s increasing embrace of DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) initiatives as a way to cover up ongoing discrimination practices and much, much more.

These insightful talks provide an important perspective on critical social issues from an individual who has spent decades fighting for justice.
