It’s that time again! The submission deadline for this year’s Hometown Media Awards is Monday, April 20, 2015. Entries will be considered for recognition in dozens of categories and celebrated at the awards dinner in Pasadena this August. Our network’s Community Producers will pay a reduced submission fee of $50 for being affiliated with MNN!

Sponsored by the Alliance for Community Media (ACM), a national nonprofit that supports free speech and civic engagement through local media, the Hometown Media Awards is the largest competition for public-access programming. The awards honor shows that address community needs, foster involvement and offer viewers a TV experience that breaks from the conventional commercial format.

Last year, MNN won four awards:  Punto de Vista, was a winner in the category of Access Program Promo; "The Chris Gethard Show," took home the award for Live Format; and MNN's Youth Channel, was honored for "Taking the Morales-Shakur Center" and "250."

Important: To receive the $50 reduced rate, you must indicate that you are submitting on behalf of an organization, and must indicate "Manhattan Neighborhood Network" as the organization.
