We just received this amazing photo of MNN producer Danny Darrow attending the first World Cities Day at the United Nations last month.
On October 31st, Darrow spoke in front of ambassadors and dignitaries to advocate for policies that support sustainability and world peace. Darrow has become an internationally-known spokesperson for these causes, writing and recording his song, "Let There Be Peace," which was played worldwide on the International Day of Peace back in September. The song is featured in this special Darrow produced and aired on MNN awhile back.
Established last year, World Cities Day is dedicated to promoting "the international community’s interest in global urbanization, push forward cooperation among countries in meeting opportunities and challenges in urbanization and contribute to sustainable urban development in cities and towns around the world." The day will be observed each October 31st.
