Women's History Month MNN
March is Women's History Month, and in addition to the events happening at the Firehouse, including a screening of "Reflections Unheard: Black Women in Civil Rights" and a panel on "The State of Women in New York City," MNN will present special programming on Sunday, March 8 on MNN1.
 
9:00 pm, "Inspiring Lives with Dr. Shellie": All of Dr. Shellie's guests have conquered obstacles, risen above adversity and have gone on to help others. In this episode she speaks to Mariama Pertrolawicz a woman that came from Guinea to the fashion runways of NYC. 
9:30 pm, "Indigenous Women Conference": Moderated by Tribal Judge Peggy Bird (Kewa Pueblo), the conference covers issues confronting indigenous women in Rural USA. 
10:30 pm, "Afro-Latina Conference on Gender and Sexuality": In 2011 the Afro Latina Forum held a Transnational 3 day conference on Black Latinas in the United Sates.  This discussion is about gender and sexuality in the Afro Latina Community  
11:00 pm, "Women's TV interviews Dr. Gloria Nixon Pone": The world class speaking coach speaks about empowering women
