Indian Point Nuclear Energy Center shuts down April 30, 2021
After 58 years operating off the Hudson River in Buchanan, New York, the final nuclear unit at Indian Point Nuclear Energy Center permanently stopped generating electricity on April 30, 2021, when it retired its last operating nuclear reactor, Unit 3, earlier than originally planned.
