YC Spotlight: "#TotalEquityNow #RockThoseReads"

Time for another edition of YC Spotlight - and we are loving the important issues MNN's Youth Channel producers have been covering!

Today's video: "#TotalEquityNow #RockThoseReads," a piece about a recent literacy awareness event in Harlem.

Last month, Total Equity Now, a local organization that works to advance educational excellence and equity through policy research, community organizing and youth leadership development, held its 3rd Annual Literacy Across Harlem March to promote reading and collaboration in the community. Particpants from Central Harlem and Spanish Harlem started at their respective parts of the community and met at Marcus Garvey Park. The Youth Channel followed the Spanish Harlem marchers, who started at La Casa Azul Bookstore, a community-oriented retail shop, advocacy hub and event space in the heart of El Barrio.
