The teachers at Luciano Medina’s secondary school, Thomas Jefferson High School, nurtured his belief that he could achieve whatever he set his mind to, despite the turmoil and transition surrounding their very school. Luciano, now a working mathematician at NYU’s School of Engineering and a sub-three marathoner, sits down to talk with host Will Sanchez this week on “Gotta Run with Will.”

Lead vocalist of Emanuel and the Fear, Emanuel Ayvas, performs an acoustic set on this week’s “GingerNewYork.” Formerly an elaborate 11-piece rock outfit, the band, formed in Brooklyn in 2008, currently consists of six members and is best known for "intertwining the modern day pop song with extravagant and complex composition."
