This Week on MNN

This weekend’s frigid, bizarre weather hasn’t let up much as we kick off the workweek. Come what may the next few days, there’s sunshine in the forecast for later in the week, in the form of the “genre fluid” pop reggae artist K’Coneil on “GingerNewYork,” and the triple threat singer/songwriter/actress LaShonda Reese on “The Carmen Mathis Show.” With their performances looming ahead on the horizon, they’ll be your bright spots in the otherwise chilly, windy, messy days ahead.

A vocalist influenced by his Jamaican reggae roots and the musical melting pot of his urban surroundings in New York City, pop reggae artist K'Coneil’s music defies easy categorization. Sometimes classified as “genre fluid,” his music nimbly fuses rhythms, genres, and sounds from reggae, dancehall, R&B, and pop.Watch him this week on “GingerNewYork” with host Ginger Broderick and co-host Malik Work.
