Haggins first made a name for himself as a fashion designer after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. In 1966, his debut collection challenged the prevailing fashion norms of the time, captivating the industry with its revolutionary styles. Major department stores eagerly embraced his designs, and leading fashion magazines showcased his creations, establishing him as a prominent figure in the field. Haggins' fashion prowess earned him numerous accolades and recognition, further solidifying his influence.

While music became a part of his journey, Haggins never strayed far from his fashion roots. In 1975, he ventured into novelty tee shirt design with the establishment of Teeze, Inc. It wasn't long before his creative spirit led him back to the fashion industry in 1980, where he re-emerged with fervor and dedication.

As his career evolved, Haggins discovered a new passion for travel and writing. He leveraged his experiences to become a travel writer and producer of the popular television program Globetrotter, which captivated audiences with its exploration of diverse cultures and destinations. In 2002, Haggins shared his expertise through the publication of The African American Travel Guide to Hot, Exotic, and Fun-Filled Places, an influential work that celebrated Black heritage and promoted enriching travel experiences.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Haggins touched the lives of many through his Black heritage tours, guiding individuals on journeys that celebrated the richness of culture and history around the world.
