"New Realities" Deepak Chopra

Very cool upcoming cablecast you'll definitely want to check out!

Monday, November 17th at 9:00 pm, MNN's "New Realities" brings you a conversation with world renowned author Deepak Chopra. "New Realities" explores the ways in which the world-- and our thinking about the world-- is changing.

Chopra came down to MNN's studios last week to talk to "New Realities" host Alan Steinfeld about his new book, The Future of God: A Practical Approach To Spirituality For Our Times, which examines the concept of god in "the skeptical age." The question: "In the time of ISIS, Ebola, global warming, and wars between former allies, is God still relevant in the twenty-first century?"

The interview presents God as an outdated myth, exploring ways in which the concept may be redefined for today's world. Steinfeld and Chopra discuss Consciousness-- the worldview in the space between fundamental religious belief and hardcore scientific facts, or what Chopra refers to as “the non-local awareness of all beings.”

Tune in on Monday to hear Chopra's bold claim against anti-spiritual viewpoints (including those of people such as atheist scientist Richard Dawkins)-- that these people are really seekers who have been “bamboozled by the superstition of materialism.”

It's a fascinating conversation that Chopra was happy to conduct via the independent channels of community media. Don't miss it!
