This Week on MNN

Over two dozen Democratic contenders have entered the 2020 Presidential race in recent weeks, with no clear frontrunner in sight. Competing for the heart of the party, centrists, liberals and democratic socialists will all make their appeal to direct the country's agenda on healthcare, foreign policy, and tax reform between 2020 and 2024. As the party seeks to be more diverse, inclusive, and progressive they have sought to connect with younger voters.

On election day of 2020, millennials will represent a larger share of America's voting population than Baby Boomers. Civic education and engagement will both be crucial as this demographic becomes increasingly powerful. Hosts Jason Clark and Adeola Adejobi discussed how civic education leads to engagement and the impact that may have on the 2020 election in the previous episode of Raising the Bar.
