As Pride celebrations kick off around the world MNN is here to join the party. In light of the struggles that LGBTQIA+ people continue to face, Pride organizers chose Unapologetically Us as this year's theme. When announcing this year's theme NYC Pride Executive Director, Sandra Perez said “We will stand together to face attacks on our LGBTQIA+ siblings across the country and around the world. We will continue to love and live our truth and be our full and complete selves. And we are not going to apologize for it.” So Join us This Week on MNN as we celebrate Pride and introduce you to Community Producers who are unapologetically themselves.   

Soroya Sobreidad’s Fierce Cooking Show is a low fat, high fiber Latino cooking extravaganza. In this episode Soroya puts together a delicious recipe of vegan chicken stew made with jackfruit. Also, Soroya gets personal with a story that many people in the LGBTQIA+ community experience on a daily basis, misgendering.
