Launched in 1999 by the Association of American Publishers, Get Caught Reading Month is all about raising awareness regarding the advantages of indulging in literature. Join our Community Producers as they introduce viewers to a variety of literary genres from sports to children's books. 

Let's Write About is an inclusive children's show exploring social-emotional learning through poetry, creative writing, and song. The show deepens learning with DIY crafts and creative prompts to inspire inquiry-based, independent learning in kids of all abilities. Each episode includes captions, an American Sign Language (ASL) box, audio descriptions written into the script, and visuals to illustrate key concepts and ideas. On this episode host Donnie Welch invites his friend and author Frankie Marcille to read her new children's book Yes, about saying yes to your dreams. Join us for this colorful interactive show only on MNN. 

The Noshing with Nina Show is a unique program where artists present their work and discuss current events in arts, culture and entertainment. On this episode our host Nina sits with author Bill Eagan to talk about his new book on African American Entertainers who performed in Australia and New Zealand before the onset of World War II. Artists mentioned in this book include Duke Elington, Florence Mills, Fisk Jubilee Singers, and pianist Leota Henson, whose papers were bequeathed to Nina’s grandmother. TSC News hosted by Fred Richani features the latest news in sports, entertainment and gaming. This week Fred is joined by Dr. David J. Fletcher and baseball journalist John Owens. Fletcher and Owens’ book, Chili Dog MVP, profiles legendary baseball player Dick Allen and the 1972 Chicago White Sox. Even though that White Sox team didn’t win a championship, the excitement built over the course of that summer holds a very special place in the club’s history—and very well might have saved the team from leaving Chicago.
