This Week on MNN Celebrates Pride

This Week on MNN we close out Gay Pride Month with MNN Community Producer Ron B, MNN’s long running show Gay USA, and some information about the Queer Liberation March. Don’t miss out!

No Boundaries Up Close & Personal Starring Host Ron B is a 2021 Hometown Media Award winning show that aims to give a voice to the LGBTQ+ communities in NYC. On this very special episode Ron B invites Command Sergeant Major Angela R. Indardeo, and Sergeant First Class Theo Lewis to discuss their journey of serving in the US military as out and proud LGBTQ+ soldiers. This is a conversation you don’t want to miss.

On this throwback episode of Gay USA, Andy Humm and Ann Northrop discuss the current state of HIV/AIDS in our community.  They put together a distingusihed panel of guests that include Medical Director for the Mount Sinai institute for Advanced Medicine Antonio Urbina, Queer AIDS Activist Jason Walker, long term survivor and activist Ivy Arce, founding member of ACT UP NY and asscociate producer of Gay USA Bill Bahlman. They discuss the long term impacts of HIV and the struggles they still face today.

The Queer Liberation March happens on the last Sunday in June. LGBTQ+ communities gather to exercise rights to speech, assembly and expression. This Christopher Street march is presented as an antidote to the corporate infused politician heavy parades. On this special, hear the voices of NYC's LGBTQ+ community as they discuss the history of the parade and the joys of attending their first pride events.

Watch these Prideful programs Sunday, June 27 at 1PM and Wednesday, June 30 at 7 PM on MNN 5 (Spectrum 1993).
