Makilala TV  is the first Filipino American talk show in the New York metro area. Their guests include artists, community leaders, innovators and emerging artists in the Filipino community. This week Makilala hosts Cristina, Rachelle and Jen are joined by fashion model and vlogger Maria Rivera. The crew speaks with Maria about her journey as a trans woman and the experience of being a Filipino American in New York City.

Fortune Society's Both Sides of the Bars examines the legal system from various perspectives, including those most impacted by the criminal justice system. In this Pride Month special, Fortune Society’s Policy Counsel Lily Shapiro talks to Mickaela Bradford and Maritza Henriquez, members of the transgender community whose work advocates for liberation, dignity, safety, and respect for transgender, non-conforming, non-binary, and intersex people who have been personally impacted by the criminal justice system.
