On this episode host Joan Allen attends the Lucille Lortel awards and talks with Lifetime achievement award winner Stephen McKinley Henderson, who just received his first Tony nomination for his critically acclaimed leading role in Stephen A. Guirgis' Pulitzer Prize Award and Tony nominated play, "Between Riverside and Broadway,"  Henderson, also starred in Dune and five other Oscar-nominated films. Also on this episode we get an exclusive interview with Tony award winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, Tony-nominated for the Best Revival of her Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play, "Top/DogUnder/Dog."  It's been a big Awards season for Suzan, who has also just won the 2023 Outer Critics Circle Award for her musical adaptation of "The Harder They Come" and a Drama Desk Award for the music from her play, "Plays for the Plague Year."   See below for more about Inside New York.
