In keeping with this year’s theme of #EmbraceEquity MNN has put together a block of programming that highlights women in uncommon fields of practice such as inventors, drummers, directors and producers. Join us for this inspiring block.

On this episode our host Dietra Kelsey invites The Healing Drum Collective, an ensemble of African-American women drummers, singers and poets. Join us and learn about  the history of this special collective and listen to their healing sounds.

Something to Offer is an MNN show that goes to the heart of people living their dreams. On this episode host and producer Anne Marie Offer takes a look back at the special women she has interviewed over the 31 years of producing her show. She talks with directors, producers, actors and community leaders who have mentored and inspired her throughout her career. Some of the women on her list include artist Justine Cox, opera singer Anne's mentor Helen Trezlie - Bromberg and Drama Professor Thelma McDaniels.

On The Spot with Taalibah is a program that shares information and knowledge about the cultures and history of the Black community. On this episode our host Taalibah gives viewers a history lesson about women inventors such as Martha Jones, the first black woman to receive a United States patent, Mary Jones De Leon, inventor of the cooking apparatus and Judy W.
