Fortune Society's Both Sides of the Bars examines the legal system from various perspectives including from the perspective of those most impacted by the criminal justice system. This episode focuses on understanding how eradicating housing discrimination against the formerly incarcerated would improve community safety. Join Fortune Society Associate VP Andre Ward and his guests Tabber Benedict, housing advocate at The Fortune Society, Flores A. Forbes, associate VP for community affairs at Columbia University's Office of Government & Community Affairs, and Merf Ehman, executive director of Columbia Legal Services in Seattle, Washington.

They work to maintain the dignity and integrity of the individual which leads to improving and empowering the entire community.
