On the final day of Black History Month, Manhattan Neighborhood Network would like to share with you some videos that reflect on the historical economic oppression and discrimination of African Americans in this country. 

 

Redlining was a federally implemented program that diverted housing away from the African American community by redlining their communities as "hazardous", "undesirable", and "high-risk" for lending loans.
