Post-production is not only the last stage of the video production, but the phase where your project gets molded. It's where your final project comes to life. Check out our guide to the post-production process:

Person's Hand Editing

Picture Editing: In this stage, the editor begins cutting the video, guided by the vision of the producer. The editor follows the director's instructions, but also makes changes that are necessary to have a high-quality product at the end.

Visual Effects: In this phase, editors use of visual effects to improve shots. For example, shaky shots are stabilized and out of focused shots are sharpened.

Graphics: During the graphics phase, the editor or graphic designer creates and adds titles, lower thirds, text-on-screen, credits, and other animations to the sequence.

Sound edit: Sound is just as important as the picture in video production. Here, editors assemble the audio tracks of a project, removing unwanted noise and adding sound effects.

Music: The next step of post-production is incorporating music into the sequence. The producer can hire a composer to create an original score for the video. The producer can also license music to determine which tone and style of music best reflects the project.

Color Correction: When the video editing is finalized, it's time to correct or enhance the color of each shot. This can be done by applying color effects which establish the mood and tone of the project.

Sound Mixing: This is the final step of the post-production process. At this stage, the main purpose is to ensure that there is a balance between all audio assets in the timeline. During this phase, you will adjust the audio levels of the voice over, narrative clips, sound effects, music tracks and all other audio elements.
