Represent NYC: Subway Accessibility

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 requires public spaces to be accessible to people with disabilities. However, 75% of subway stations in New York City are considered inaccessible. On this episode of Represent NYC, we are joined by host Julie Walker and guests Karines Reyes for Assembly, Gale A. Brewer, Manhattan Borough President, Ben Kallos, Sarah Kaufman of Rudin Center for Transportation Policy & Management at NYU Wagner, and Andrew Albert of PCAC- Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA and to learn more about the issue of subway accessibility while highlighting some potential solutions in the process.
