YC Spotlight: “#CarryThatWeight”

Earlier this week, Bill Cosby was sentenced to prison for sexual assault and today Dr. Christine Blasey Ford testifies against Judge Kavanaugh in a public hearing. One in six American women are victims of sexual assault, yet historically justice hasn’t been served when they come forward and report it. Are the tides changing?

In light of this week’s events, today’s YC Spotlight reflects back on a Carry that Weight day of action at Columbia University four years ago, which was held in support of sexual assault victims and served as a call to action to university staff to address the issue on campus.
