NBLCA’s Health Action TV: Hepatitis, Giving a Voice to a Silent Epidemic

Over 245,000 NYC residents are living with hepatitis B or C and many don’t even know they have it.

In honor of National Hepatitis Awareness Month, host C. Virginia Fields, former Manhattan borough president and current president and CEO of the National Black Leadership Commission on Aids (NBLCA) leads a discussion about the importance of hepatitis awareness, education and testing.

Joining Ms. Fields are her guests Paul Bolter of the American Liver Foundation, Marlene Taylor of the Coalition on Positive Health Empowerment (COPE) and Montefiore Medical Center, and Daniel Leyva of the Latino Commission on AIDS.
