What the Georgia Senate wins mean for LGBT rights; mourning many LGBT luminaries. ∎ The wins in the Georgia Senate race put a whole range of progressive initiatives and appointments within reach. ∎ The COVID pandemic continues to overwhelm, though vaccines deemed safe for people with HIV. ∎ Trump aided by anti-LGBT bigots in his attempted coup—and he is making eleventh hour appointments of more. ∎ Two more out gay appointments from Biden. ∎ We lost a host of prominent community members: a black lesbian pioneer, the lesbian author who challenged how women viewed their bodies, the feminist designer who survived Lesley Gore, a world famous fashion designer, the actor who played Mouse on “Tales of the City,” a veteran gay activist in Scotland, and an award winning TV writer.
