Feminist Global Advocacy Elections 2016
With all of the propaganda surrounding the 2016 presidential election, major issues are getting lost in the shuffle and certain groups are being denied their basic human rights as a result.
On this second installment of the “Feminist Global Advocacy" panel, four esteemed women come together to analyze the way human rights issues are being discussed (or not discussed) by the candidates and to answer the question: whose lives matter?
The following panelists will speak on issues such as international security, wage stagnation, police accountability and so many more:
-
Radhika Balakrishnan, Rutgers University Center for Women’s Leadership
-
Ejim Dike, U.S. Human Rights Network
-
Sanam Naraghi-Anderlini, International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN)
-
Andrea Arroyo, visual artist and cultural advocate
