Event EndedMNN launches Authentic Hip Hop Culture — a branch of programming grounded in the original pillars of Hip Hop — with a special event at SOB's: a conversation with KRS-One, Hip Hop's first philosopher, and Spike Lee, legendary filmmaker.
The night kicked off with Grand Wizzard Theodore, inventor of the scratch, taking the stage to set the tone for the evening. KRS-One was joined by Spike Lee to discuss the state of Hip Hop in 2025, how Spike thinks of "Do The Right Thing" in the context of our modern sociopolitical environment, and the role of Hip Hop in our culture today.
The heavy conversation was followed up with two heavy hitters taking the stage: KRS-One and Kid Capri, who invited the Tats Cru and Crazy Legs up alongside them while they rocked the venue.
