Since the '90s, "Project Art Show Series" has covered NY's art scene with "wit and whimsy," and even though most episodes are still from the '90s, they retain a glow from that summery time, when independent artists could actually make a living here. Much of the work presented is as 'fringe' as the show itself--awkward, silly pieces that mix well with the odd editing and comic segments.
It’s now been 12 weeks since MNN began a complete overhaul of its equipment and technology at 59th Street, a renovation that’s poised to usher the public access station’s producers and programming into the 21st Century.
We're in the final stages of a complete overhaul of MNN's 59th Street studios, but we have by no means forgotten our dedication to bringing Manhattan residents programming that's relevant and important to their lives. So for today's Clip of the Week, we bring you MNN's stellar coverage of Council Speaker Christine Quinn's 2013 State of the City Address earlier this month.
MNN 59th Street is reopening on Friday, February 22, for Tape Drop Off, Edit and Field Services. Field hours are Mon-Fri, noon-8pm. Non Linear Ediing is open Mon-Fri, noon-10p. Non Linear Editing reservations can be made at 212-757-2670 ext 361. Tape Library is open M-Fri noon-8p and Saturday 10a-4pm. Due to construction, please note that wheelchair accessibility at 59th Street may be limited. Be sure to call ahead at 212-757-2670 x301 to get an up-to-date status report on all services at MNN's 59th Street facility.
Due to ongoing construction at 59th Street, all Field, Editing and Tape Library services will be suspended starting today, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 until Thursday, February 21, 2013. All MNN services will resume on Friday, February 22, 2013. Programs due on these dates that have not yet submitted programs, will have a repeat scheduled. For Field and Editing reservations, please call ext. 361. For Tape Library, please call ext. 302. Thank you!
