Train & Earn is an extension of the Media Career Pathways program that seeks to provide access to youth aged 16-24 years old interested in the media and entertainment industry. Individuals in the program will jumpstart their careers in the industry by engaging in workforce readiness classes, occupational training, and internships. All in service of addressing the needs of youth along their career journeys.
This free program provides:
-Hands-on media and content creation training (video production, graphic design, digital storytelling, etc.)
-Industry-readiness workshops to build essential career skills
-Paid internship opportunities with industry professionals
-Job placement assistance and career counseling
-Supportive services, including mentorship and financial literacy training
Candidate Requirements:
-Individuals ages 16-24 who are out of school and out of work
-Graduate of a secondary education program
-Low income
-Authorized to work in the U.S.
-Interested in the media and entertainment industry
The program takes place in person 3 days a week 5hrs a day.
All in person classes are located at Reel Works Time: 540 President Street, Brooklyn NY & Various Company Sites.
