More than Marriage: What LGBTQ Communities of Color Really Need
While mainstream media focuses on marriage equality as a central issue of the LGBTQ community, there are other nuances and concerns that haven’t generally been discussed as openly and thoroughly. Join us at MNN’s El Barrio Firehouse for a conversation on the other issues impacting the LGBTQ community, particularly those that affect marginalized populations.
Che Gossett, community archivist at Barnard Center for Research on Women, will moderate the evening, with panelists including Brooke Cerda Guzman, independent transwomen civil rights activist, and Tasha Amezcua, Safe OUTside the System Coordinator at the Audre Lorde Project.
