DeNoise 4

Capturing pristine audio is not always an easy task. Sound problems can occur from simple human error to environmental interference like windy locations. These factors can damage even the most prepared productions. Here are two effects you can use in Adobe Premiere to quickly clean up bad audio and remove unwanted background noise:

DeNoise: DeNoise will fix sounds like hissing and other fairly consistent noise like computer fans. However, it will not erase background sounds like people talking or car horns. Go to the Effects panel and search for DeNoise, then apply it to your clip. You can move the slider to adjust the denoising amount and tell Premiere Pro which frequencies the noise occupies.

DeReverb: Removing reverb works the same way. Search for and apply the DeReverb effect. Using the slider, set the reverb level you'd like on your audio to remove the echo. Ensure auto-gain is checked, as this will make sure your audio levels don't drop too low when you are applying effects to your audio file.
