We have a very exciting video to feature for today’s Clip of the Week : “Save the Putnam Nature Trail,” the 8-minute documentary produced by MNN’s Will Sanchez, Vanessa Cordova-Corwin and Monica McKane-Sanchez that not only screened at last week’s International Film Festival Manhattan —but took home an award.
Great news! We’re excited to release two brand-new election specials, the latest phase of MNN’s Race2Represent , a multimedia, multi-platform initiative providing New York voters with unprecedented access to hyperlocal coverage of the 2013 races.
Starting October 24 at 8 p.m., Verizon FiOS viewers can catch round-the-clock election coverage on our new pop-up channel! Through the November 5 election, Verizon FiOS 37 will carry the hours of election programming we have produced as part of Race2Represent, a multimedia, multi-platform initiative providing New York voters with unmatched coverage of the 2013 Manhattan Borough President and City Council races to help them make the most informed decisions at the polls.
Democracy doesn't end with the primary, which is why we're broadcasting candidate debates for the Manhattan Borough President and several City Council races, hosted in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of the City of New York and as part of our Race2Represent hyperlocal election coverage.
Here at MNN, we’re always encouraging you all to show their work to the world—to present videos for awards, to apply for grants and to submit films to festivals. Three enterprising MNN producers have recently done just that. An 8-minute documentary short, “Save the Putnam Nature Trail,” will screen at the 3rd Annual Film Festival Manhattan this Sunday, October 20.
