The current presidential administration is in the news and under renewed scrutiny this week, following the abrupt firing of James Comey as FBI director and multiple conflicting accounts of the circumstances that led to the decision. Elected under the campaign promise to “Make American Great Again,” our Clip of the Week looks at the tagline in the context of American history, in particular, the promise of a “Great Society” made my Lyndon Baines Johnson as president in the 1960s.
