This week's “Internet Society” features two presentations from the May 2018 HACK NYC cybersecurity conference. Both explore the security of the Internet of Things. The first, from Josh Corman, tells of a group of volunteers "I am the Cavalry" that works to secure any device that might actually harm people, starting with medical devices, but also cars etc. His presentation includes a graphic demo video of what can happen if malware affects healthcare. The second, from Avi Rembaum, "Winter is Coming" digs in deep to the wider issues as IoT scales massively in the next few years.
