Represent NYC: Assembly Member De La Rosa

July 21, 2019

Last year, outrage sparked when a new building in Washington Heights with affordable housing units were requiring a 6-figure salary to be considered as a tenant, and small business owners in Inwood feared the impact of rezoning on their shops. These issues have directly impacted working class families and became a big factor in who would be elected into office in the November 2018 Elections. A few months after taking office, have elected officials stepped up to represent their people and increase the quality of life?

Represent NYC, guest-host New York State Assemblywoman Carmen de la Rosa, is joined by Ava Farkas, Executive Director of Metropolitan Council on Housing; Mino Lora, Founding Executive Director of the People’s Theater Project; and Quenia Abreu, President of the New York Women’s Chamber of Commerce, to discuss housing, arts in the community, small businesses, and local economy.

Aired Sunday, July 21st, 2019.
