In the last two years the country has experienced the Travel Ban, the Zero-Tolerance immigration policy, and a push to end asylum for those abroad. Under the Trump Administration, immigration application denials reached a nearly 40% rate. This includes DACA applications as well.

Some immigration policies were ruled unconstitutional by several Judges and were ultimately overturned. Americans have expressed their frustrations and concerns of the executive orders by President Donald Trump that have left families desperate to make their way into the country, resulting in tragedies like Oscar Alberto Martinez and his two year old daughter, Valeria.
