Announcing MNN Field Equipment Pick up

At MNN, we are all eager to begin offering our media services in familiar ways once again. In so doing, the health, safety and confidence of staff and community will be our No. 1 priority. And while we are not yet ready to reopen our facilities to the public for on-site studio production and post-production services, we are excited to offer limited reservation of field equipment packages to our Certified Field Community Producers.

Beginning this week, Certified Field Producers are able to pick up a pre-reserved standardized field production kit from our 59th Street and El Barrio Firehouse media centers. Please look closely at the below schedule for making phone reservations and for picking up equipment at our two facilities. The schedule is as follows:

 59th Street

Phone reservations can be made Mon-Fri from 1pm-7pm. Call 212-757-2670 x309 or x314. Equipment Pickups will take place on Monday and Thursday 1pm-7pm. Equipment picked up on Monday will be required to be returned on Thursday or before. Equipment picked up on Thursday will be required to be returned on Friday or Monday. 

MNN El Barrio Firehouse

Phone reservations can be made Tue-Fri from 1pm-7pm and on Saturdays from 11am-5pm. Call 212-757-2670 x200. Pick up and return of equipment will be on Tuesdays and Fridays only. Equipment Pickups will take place on Tuesday and Friday 1pm-7pm. Equipment picked up on Tuesday will be required to be returned on Friday or before. Equipment picked up on Friday will be required to be returned on Saturday or Tuesday. 

Reservations will be by phone only and must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the requested pickup date and time.

All MNN field equipment will be sanitized and then quarantined in a safe room for a minimum of 72 hours before your reservation begins.

Reopening our studios and post-production facilities will still take some time. And even then, the process will be phased, measured and limited. But, please don’t let the temporary closure of MNN's facilities be an obstacle to getting your work produced and aired on MNN.

Much of the programming that producers create in our studios can be created on the Zoom platform.

If you are unsure of how production on Zoom can be done please meet with our MNN staff on Virtual MNN daily, Monday thru Friday at 3pm, and they will walk you through the Zoom production process.
