Certification Classes

Whether you want to learn how to create stunning HD video content in our multi-camera studios, or how to go into the field to capture a great story, or how to edit your digital video footage, Manhattan Neighborhood Network has a class for you.

Certification classes are open to any Manhattan resident who has attended our Orientation. When you successfully complete a certification class, you will be able to reserve our state-of-the-art video production and post-production equipment at any MNN facility.

MNN also offers advanced-level classes that are open to certified community producers. Click here to explore our various workshops that are open to the general public.

Please note: There is a $25 non-refundable, non-transferrable class registration fee for certification classes at all MNN facilities. You can pay online via credit/debit card or you can pay in person by credit/debit card or check/money order made payable to Manhattan Neighborhood Network. To pay in person, please visit MNN's 59th St. Facility Tuesday through Friday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm or the El Barrio Firehouse Community Media Center during business hours.

Ready to take your field projects to the next level? This hands-on course will teach you how to utilize MNN’s professional Canon C100 Digital Cine camera.
MNN’s older adult media education courses are designed for users who are not fluent in the language of new technology. These courses feature an overview of media technology, Mac computer operation, smaller class sizes, and more appropriately-paced course sessions.
