Just this Summer, the United States Women’s National Soccer Team won their fourth World Cup, and used their platform to express their frustration on gender inequality. The U.S. Men’s Soccer Team made roughly $31,200 more than the women holding three more World Cup titles than them. The team moved forward with a lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation for violating the Equal Pay Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. Their trial is set for May 2020.
