Whether you ride the subway or walk through the streets of New York, you may have seen some acts.

From guitar playing to singing to dancing to some cool magic tricks, many people have taken on the job of busking. This pay-as-you-wish entertainment has become a staple of many major cities in hopes of getting signed or just to make some extra cash. But, it hasn’t always been so easy.
