This Week on MNN: Autism Awareness Month

On the next This Week On MNN block of community produced programming we highlight Autism Awareness Month. We’re focused on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism, fostering worldwide support. Join us as we learn about organizations supporting families with autistic children and also meet a filmmaker that produced and directed an award winning film about families dealing with autism.

This is Your Spotlight is a program that highlights people who are making an impact in their communities and the world. Join host Eurydice Roman and her adorable son Ellis as they share insights and talk with staff from Sinergia Inc, an organization that provides services to the NYC Autism community.

From Bollywood to Hollywood is a long-running show on MNN that invites Asian artists from all over the Pacific to discuss their contributions to arts and culture. On this episode host Rao Rampillla talks with Chinese director Zhang Wei about his award winning film Destiny. This film takes us on a journey with a family living in the Chinese city of Shenzhen fighting for their autistic son to have a normal education. You don’t want to miss out on this important conversation.

Join us Sunday, April 3  at 1PM and Wednesday, April 6 at 7PM on MNN 5 (Spectrum 1993).
