This Week On MNN: Let The Holidays Begin!

This Week on MNN join our Community Producers as they cook, sing, and get ready to enjoy the holiday season.

Soul Gardens is a show that introduces viewers to OSS Project, a community organization whose mission is to connect communities with artists to create gardens as platforms to empower, celebrate, and reclaim identity and knowledge. On this episode, host and nutritionist Deborah Johnson will get us ready for the holidays. Join her as she makes a mouth watering vegan sweet potato pudding and speaks with community members about the fabulous dishes that will adorn their holiday tables.

Open to Hope is a program hosted by mother and daughter duo Dr. Gloria Horsley and Dr. Heidi Horsley.  These amazing women are therapists who specialize in grief counseling and strive to help people find hope in their loss. On this episode Alan Pedersen, Executive Director of The Compassionate Friends, offers advice on how to get through the holidays after suffering a loss, plus much more.

If you love the rhythm, harmony and improvisation of jazz then you must check out NY Events, a program that will take you to music venues across NYC. In this episode the Yuka Mito Jazz Quartet share music designed to bring out that holiday joy.

Join us Sunday, December 5 at 1PM and Wednesday, December 8 at 7PM on MNN 5 (Spectrum 1993).
