This Week on MNN Celebrates Labor Day

This Week on MNN focuses on Labor as we discuss workers' rights, pensions, the minimum wage, and more. 

The Larry Parks Show is a talk show created by MNN community producer Larry Parks where he discusses everything from public policy and politics, to computer software and book reviews. In this episode Larry speaks with Richard Marin, a Clinical Professor of Asset Management about the future of America’s pensions. Catch this important conversation only on MNN. 

Represent NYC is a weekly MNN program that gives local elected officials the chance to update voters about the issues shaping the future of the city. On this edition Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer invites  Dr. Maria Figueroa, Dean of the Harry Van Arsdale School of Labor Studies at Empire State College / SUNY and Hildalyn Colón Herández, Director of Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships for Los Deliveristas / Workers Justice Project to discuss the rights for gig workers, and delivery drivers, who were deemed essential workers during the pandemic. 

The New Labor Movement Show is a program hosted by "rank and file" workers, Troy and Ray. They aim to bring viewers "break time" worker discussions and interviews about the politics and legal decisions affecting the workers of New York City. On this edition Troy and Ray discuss the minimum wage vote and more.
