What a year we had! In 2013, MNN inaugurated seven new HD production studios and re-certified 170 producers on our new equipment and software. We also closed out our first full calendar year of operations at our state-of-the-art MNN El Barrio Firehouse Community Media Center, where we certified 76 producers and graduated 39 youth in field and studio production, and hosted 27 community events including film screenings, community conversations, poetry readings, and musical performances. We also premiered Race2Represent, which offered unprecedented, hyper-local coverage of NYC's 2013 primary and general elections.

Using our upgraded facilities and training, our community producers aired over 13,000 hours of original content!

As if that wasn't impressive enough, in December we launched our upgraded database, which keeps us at the cutting edge of open source, community-based technology initiatives. This exciting project will help not just MNN but community media organizations around the country.

As we enter 2014, we plan to further upgrade our facilities and equipment, expand our education and training, offer a robust calendar of community events, produce content that is locally focused and relevant, and support our community producers.

We appreciate the community's commitment to making Manhattan Neighborhood Network a leader in community media!
