The Radical Imagination: Imagining Radical Legal Justice

It’s no secret that America’s criminal justice system is broken. Nearly everyday a new story surfaces about someone who was wrongfully convicted, abused or treated unfairly. It’s a vicious cycle.

On this episode of “The Radical Imagination,” host Jim Vrettos of John Jay College of Criminal Justice talks with lawyer Martin Stolar about the many tragic criminal justice cases our city and nation have been faced with over the years and what needs to be done to end the madness.

Martin Stolar is a criminal defense lawyer and former president of the New York chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. He has been involved in many pivotal cases during his career including the Stop and Frisk trial of 2013, The Camden 28 trial in the 1970’s and The Panther 21 case also in the 1970’s.
