Clip of the Week: “Witnessing History: Gloria Messer”
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s revelatory comments this week about Hitler left many Americans dismayed, particularly as they came during Passover, one of the most widely known, sacred, and celebrated of Jewish holidays. As we reflect on the oft-repeated phrase, "those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it," we present a Clip of the Week dedicated to remembering and persevering the memory of the Holocaust's atrocities.
"Witnessing History" host Heather Wokush interviews producer and director Gloria Messer about her childhood during WWII, her family members who survived the Holocaust, and life in New York City during and after the war.
"Witnessing History" is a series produced by "Access for All," which airs every other Tuesday at 9:30pm on MNN1 (TWC 34 & 1995, RCN 82, FiOS 33 and streaming on www.mnn.org). Produced and directed by Gloria Messer, winner of the 2015 Hometown Media Award for Best Informational Talk Show (Series), and hosted by progressive author/blogger Heather Wokusch.
